Continuing education is not only necessary to maintain a massage license, but also keeps massage work fun and interesting. I love traveling to workshops and meeting other practitioners. Also, you might notice – it was a continuing education course in 2002 (I was a junior in high school) that started me on the path to become a massage therapist. I remember being so shy and asking if I had to accept massages from the other students. Turns out half of massage education requires receiving. That is why I’ve also included a section on massages I have received from other professionals.
